We see both the wood and the trees.

Learn more about our dedication to sustainable sourcing and responsible wood use.

Groupe Savoie has a long-term vision of maximizing the use of timber supply through harmonious operations and harvesting methods that allow for economic growth—all while adhering to high environmental standards and sustainable forest management principles.

We are committed and promoting a Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI®) system, an Environmental Management System (E.M.S.), a PEFC Chain of Custody and a Biomass Certification System. What guides us in all of our day-to-day operations?

  • Ethical land stewardship
  • Conservation of biodiversity, wildlife and aquatic habitats, soil, water, and air quality
  • Protecting forests from harmful agents (pollution, forest fires, diseases, and insect infestations)
  • Maintaining aesthetics and resources for local communities

We continuously train and sensitize our employees, contractors, suppliers, and woodland owners on our commitment to environmental conservation. We also comply with all federal and provincial regulations protecting workers, workers’ rights, the environment and the communities in which they live and operate.
